The kitchen screen
The kitchen, during service
Only paid orders reach the kitchen. Each table is one card, each item one square, and every ready item waits in Ready to serve until it reaches the table.

One table, from paid to served
A paid table arrives, with a chime
Only orders the cashier has marked paid reach the Kitchen. A new table lands on the rail, oldest on the left, with a chime (tap Sound on once). The tablet stays awake through service.
Tap the square when you start
It fills with a flame: cooking. Items sort themselves, cooking first, then not started, then ready. A card holds still while you’re tapping it, so a quick second tap never lands on another item.
Tap again when it’s ready
The square shows a check and the item moves to Ready to serve. Tapped too soon? Tap again within 4 seconds to undo.
Served from Ready to serve
Ready items wait on the right of the Kitchen and in the cashier’s sidebar, oldest first. Whoever takes one to the table taps its check, and it’s served.
The phone says Ready
When the last item of an order is ready, the customer’s phone says Ready ✓ and that it’s on its way to the table. No app and no phone number.
Made in, then Done
When a table’s last item is ready, its time is frozen and the card shows Made in for 6 seconds, with Undo. Then it moves to the Done tab, where Undo stays for 5 minutes before the table is sealed.
Reading the screen
Tables, not tickets
A table stays one card. An order paid while the table is still being served joins its card, and the timer runs from the oldest order still cooking. An order from the counter, with no table, is a card of its own.
Timers count from Paid on the cafe PC’s clock, so a tablet a few minutes out still shows the right minutes. A table warms up at the first step you set (Settings › Receipts & timings, 15 minutes unless you change it), then every 5 minutes, in four steps. Only the last one breathes, and the oldest table always stays first, so colour is never the only sign.

Counted from when it was paid, on the PC’s clock. The oldest table is always first, so colour is never the only sign. You set the first step.
Ready to serve
The pass, on the kitchen and the counter
Ready to serve isn’t another screen to buy or another tablet to watch. It’s the same list on the right of the Kitchen and in the cashier’s sidebar, so whoever is free takes the next plate, and the customer’s phone follows.
No app and no phone number needed. The customer’s own browser shows it, with their receipt.

Setting it up
Any tablet, on your Wi‑Fi
Any tablet, or the PC
Android or iPad. It joins your Studio PC once, on your Wi‑Fi, with a QR code and six digits. The Studio PC can show the Kitchen too.
More than one kitchen screen
Put the Kitchen on a second tablet if you like. Every tap goes to the PC, so the screens stay in step and nothing flips twice.
Sold out from the kitchen
Tap Sold out on the Kitchen. The item disappears from every customer’s phone at once, and an order holding it is refused, naming the item.
One screen for food and drinks. Every paid item goes to the Kitchen; there’s no separate bar screen. See what LaiOrder leaves to you.
See it at your own counter
The free DEMO has every screen, with a sample cafe: the Kitchen, the Cashier, the Menu and the Studio. Install it on a Windows PC, no sign‑up.
